9 Buckden Roundabout April 2024 For Your Diary MONDAY CLUB We are a social group of ladies who meet fortnightly at 2.30pm in the Millard Suite at Buckden Village Hall. At each meeting we either have a guest speaker or partici- pate in an activity of our own. If you require a lift or any further information, please con- tact Jane Scott on 811468 or Betty Millard on 810087 Wellbeing Walks Huntingdon March 2024 The Huntingdon - area walks are on Wednesdays at 2pm and Fridays at 10am. As always the eight walks in April will be led by volunteer trained leaders, with whom walkers must register 5 - 10 minutes before the start. Each risk - assessed, exercise - paced walk is planned to take about an hour. Walkers should be sure that their footwear and clothing will cope with the day's weather and ground condi- tions. Also, carrying a bottle of drinking water is recommended, in case of dehydration. This month we have one walk starting from Buckden Village Hall – Hardwick Circular on Friday 5 th April at 10.00am. This walk, although usually a bit muddy, gives some great views over the village. Other walks are listed in the information leaflet. To ensure that you always have current information about the walks, please pick up a full - information leaflet from the May- field Surgery or the Library. Also available from walk leaders. These counterfeits are poorer quality than the authentic Roundabout and are printed on rather cheap paper somewhere in the West Midlands. Don ’ t allow your- self to be fooled by the wildlife, history and general articles in these counterfeits, which are full of factual errors, bad grammar, terrible spellign and unwise advice. How can you tell the difference between these fakes and the real thing? Well, it ’ s difficult, but there ’ s one certain giveaway. On the cover of the authentic Roundabout the hands in the logo go round anti - clockwise—in the fakes they go clockwise. We believe that the fraudsters are planning their biggest ever distribution of counterfeit Roundabouts on or around Easter Monday. Check your cover now to make sure you ’ ve received the real thing.
