We are a friendly club based at the recreation ground in Buck- den and welcome you to watch a game and join us for refresh- ments in The Village Club during and after. There is a football card available behind the bar on match days if you would like to take part for 50p a team. Buckden continue to develop their relationship with St Neots Town FC and welcome new players from their academy. Both players are just 17, looking for men ’ s football as part of their development, Thomas “ Bart ” Bartlett our new goalkeeper, over 6 - ft tall and the tricky midfielder Mati born in Poland, looking to establish himself in men ’ s football as part of his de- velopment, before hoping to return to St. Neots Town FC We have been badly hit by the inclement weather of the last 3 months and this has been considerably worsened by the poor drainage on the field and hence our pitch. A large number of our home games have been postponed (7 fixtures) causing The Football Club to incur additional expense when we have to hire alternative pitches at Hinchingbrooke. Thus, this extra cost is borne exclusively by The Football Club. Our benefactors already provide almost half our income and without them the 126 - year - old Football Club would not sur- vive. We have already secured extensive help and our latest benefactors ’ contribution has allowed us to have our kit washed and dried off site ending the twenty - year tradition of washing the kit in The Pavilion. We thank him and hopefully additional benefactors we are trying to secure by June.
