Network Rail writes: I write to you to inform you of the planned closure of Offord Level Crossing we have planned in February and March.
We have submitted closure requests to Cambridgeshire County Council for the closure on the nights of 12th, 13th, 17th, 18th, 19th & 20th February from 22.00 hrs to 06.00 hrs.
Also we have a closure in place from 3rd of March 22.00 hrs to 9th March 10.00 hrs which will be for the entire period, with Diversions in place; the road will be available for the passage of emergency services within this closure dates, and manned accordingly.
This closure is to facilitate Track renewals works on the east coast mainline to enable Line speed improvements and to renew a life expired track bed below Offord Level crossing. Obviously all effort will be made to ensure that the works noise and traffic is kept to a minimum as all works will be during the night time closures of the railway.
